Twin Peaks looking forward to bright future

After nearly a year of making music together, Fort St. John band Twin Peaks won the annual RocKIN the Peace competition on Saturday night.

"I thought it wasn't going to be a big deal if we did win," said keyboardist and vocalist Naomi Shore, "but we were clutching each other's hands waiting for the announcement."

Lindsay Pratt, the other half of Twin Peaks, plays guitar, ukulele and banjo.

"It was like we were winning a Grammy or something," Pratt said.

Shore jumped in, "I was so grateful."

"We're so grateful for everything," Pratt continued.

Twin Peaks played last during the competition.

"That was to our benefit," Pratt said. "This community is magnificent."
